Course Title: HIRING IN TODAY'S WORKPLACE
Location: On-site (at customer’s location)
Course Description:
This course teaches processes for successful hiring of employees while working with present conditions and a diverse workforce. This program helps to identify company needs and write specific job descriptions, define customer and operational needs before the hiring process, evaluate applications and resumes, screen individual candidates that best fit job descriptions, how to determine the applicants needs and goals before hiring, conduct thorough interviews, and how to hire the right applicant. It shows how to use matching techniques to best serve customers and potential employees for the best team fit. Customers receive class rosters and course evaluations.
Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants will better be able to:
- Identify company needs, and write specific job descriptions.
- Screen individual candidates that best fit the job description.
- Evaluate applications and resumes.
- Conduct thorough interviews.
- Hire the right applicant.
- Conduct evaluations and follow up interviews - 30, 60 and 90 days.
Prerequisites: None
Recommended Personnel to Attend: All mid and upper level management personnel.
Hours: 8-hours, general knowledge. 12-hours, extended interview practice for new managers.
