Course Title: HAZARD COMMUNICATION (HAZCOM)
Location: On-site (at customer’s location)
Course Description:
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has established the Hazard Communication Standard 29 CFR 1910.1200. Otherwise know as the "Right to Know" law. This Standard is based on the concept that employees in all industrial sectors have a right to know the hazards and identities of chemicals that they are exposed to in the workplace, and to protect workers who are exposed to hazardous chemicals by informing them about storing, labeling, using, removing hazardous substances, and donning personal protective equipment.
Training is vital to understanding the information provided on chemical container labels and material safety data sheets, and applying that information in the workplace to protect against chemical hazards.
