Course Title: FALL PROTECTION INSTRUCTOR

Course Description:
This course is designed for individuals who are required to deliver in-house fall protection training programs. It teaches the fundamentals, hazards and requirements of fall protection, including proper use of associated equipment and systems. It provides future instructors with the necessary tools for conducting training programs, such as the core elements of training, adult learning principles, interpersonal skills, delivery skills, managing training, instructional skills, training aids and tools, learning assessments and on-the-job training.
Training provides an in-depth look at the ANSI and OSHA standards covering inspection, use, and maintenance of personal fall protection systems. Participants receive a wallet card certificate. Customers receive class rosters and course evaluations.
Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants will:
- Understand responsibilities of a "competent person" inspector.
- Understand workplace hazards and technical aspects.
- Understand the application of safety and health requirements.
- Be familiar with various fall protection devices.
- Be capable of performing inspections and maintenance.
- Better communicate knowledge and experience in an effective and beneficial manner.
- Understand basics of training and program coordination.
- Conduct training, student evaluations and maintain documentation.
Prerequisites: Previous experience with the aspects of fall protection.
Recommended Personnel to Attend: Employees who are required to provide in-house training programs to others who will use fall protection equipment and systems.
