Course Title: FALL PROTECTION COMPETENT PERSON

Course Description:
This course provides in-depth coverage of essential fall protection program elements, and is well suited for individuals who must serve as the "competent person" at the worksite, as required by OHSA 1926.32(f), 1926.500 and 1910 standards.
This training program develops an overall knowledge of how to select, inspect, use and install fall protection systems, and covers hazard identification and applicable regulations. Participants receive a wallet card certificate. Customers receive class rosters and course evaluations.
Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the responsibilities of a “competent person”.
- Perform a hazards analysis and address potential hazards.
- Understand methods and principles of fall protection.
- Calculate fall forces.
- Understand prevention vs. protection.
- Design and implement a fall arrest program.
- Select, inspect and maintain fall protection systems.
Prerequisites: None
Recommended Personnel to Attend: Any employee designated as the “competent person” in regard to jobsite fall protection responsibilities, including supervisors, lead workers, crew chiefs, safety officers, and jobsite superintendents.
