Emergency Action Planning Course Title: EMERGENCY ACTION PLANNING

Location: On-site (at customer’s location)

Course Description:
An emergency action plan (EAP) is a written document required by OSHA standard [29 CFR 1910.38(a)]. The purpose of an EAP is to facilitate and organize employer and employee actions during workplace emergencies. Well developed emergency plans and proper employee training (such that employees understand their roles and responsibilities within the plan) will result in fewer and less severe employee injuries and less structural damage to the facility during emergencies. For organizations with 10 or fewer employees, the plan does not need to be written and may be communicated orally [29 CFR 1910.38(b)]

This training program deals with developing a comprehensive emergency action plan with those issues specific to your worksite. How employees will respond to different types of emergencies, taking into account specific worksite layout, structural features, and emergency systems. It is beneficial to include a diverse group of representatives (management and employees) in this training and through the actual planning process to review progress and allocate development tasks.

In addition to delivering training for emergency action planning, our team of specialists can also assist your organization in the actual development of such a written plan.
