Course Title: BLOODBORNE PATHOGENS
Location: On-site (at customer’s location)
Course Description:
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has established guidelines for the education of workers who are at risk of blood or body fluid (BBF) exposure. OSHA published the Bloodborne Pathogen Standard in the Federal Register explaining that exposure to BBF can be minimized or eliminated by a combination of engineering and work practice controls, personal protective equipment, vaccination, medical surveillance, and training.
This training is required every 2-years when employees have the potential for occupational exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials, or is assigned to provide emergency care.
This program complies with OSHA's standard for bloodborne pathogens training and includes modes of transmission, epidemiology, symptoms and prevention of infectious diseases. Program can be customized to fit the nature of potential exposures and/or specific organizational needs.
