Course Title: AERIAL LIFT INSTRUCTOR
Location: On-site (at customer’s location)
Course Description:
This course prepares in-house equipment trainers for teaching operators the safety aspects, techniques and proper procedures while using aerial lifts, scissors lifts, bucket trucks, or other devices used to lift personnel. Participants receive a student workbook and wallet card certificate. Customers receive class rosters and course evaluations. Aerial lift(s) must be available for this training.
Day 1 - Technical aspects of operation.
Day 2 - Train-the-trainer strategies and techniques.
Day 3 (optional) - Coaching and mentoring as new instructor conducts actual training.
Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand application of the standards.
- Understand workplace hazards, stability and technical aspects.
- Demonstrate understanding and capability to safely operate the aerial lift.
- Demonstrate correct fall protection procedures for aerial lift operations.
- Better communicate knowledge and experience in an effective and beneficial manner.
- Understand basics of training and program coordination.
- Conduct training, student evaluations and maintain documentation.
Prerequisites: Knowledge, training, experience with aerial lift devices.
