Course Title: AUTOMATED EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATOR (AED)
Location: On-site (at customer’s location)
Course Description:
Defibrillation is considered the most definitive care for cardiac arrest. In fact, chances of a sudden cardiac arrest patient surviving without early electrical counter-shock is less than one-percent. With the advent of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED), this lifesaving technology can be placed in the hands of corporate and industrial responders. AED's are accurate, easy to use, and can be used by lay people with minimal training. Early CPR and rapid defibrillation save lives!
This course is typically delivered in conjuction with our first aid and cpr training, which meets standards of the American Heart Association and American Red Cross. This gives your organizations' first responders the knowledge and expertise to use life saving AED equipment. Participants are encouraged to engage in role playing of emergency care simulations that employ the use of an automated external defibrillator. A wallet card certification is issued, valid for 2 years. Customers receive class rosters and course evaluations.
